Until some time ago, it was normal for dentists to work with the ‘naked eye’ or at most with a pair of glasses able to increase visibility slightly. Today, however, it is an accredited practice to use lenses that offer different degrees of magnification, mounted on glasses or helmets.
These lenses can enlarge from 2 to 6 times and this allows the dentist, also helped by the light source inserted in the helmet itself, to have an optimal visibility and can therefore work in the most favorable conditions. If once the caries treatment could be successful, now the same operation results significantly more accurate without forgetting that, through such a close view, even critical situations can be intercepted well in advance.
